The first ever promoter of Texas Creek Hat Company

The first ever promoter of Texas Creek Hat Company

Earlier this year, a group of our friends embarked on an exciting trip from East Texas to Shreveport, Louisiana. We had dinner at the popular Superior Grill and attended Nate Bargatze's hilarious performance in The Be Funny Tour. It was an incredible experience that left us wanting more. If you haven't had the chance to watch Nate's content, we highly recommend checking him out on platforms like Netflix or Amazon. His comedy is enjoyable for the whole family.

After the show, our group gathered at the Margaritaville Resort, where we were staying. It was getting late, and we didn't plan on staying up for too long before calling it a night.

Just as we were winding down, Nate Bargatze, the opening acts, and some of his friends walked into the casino. The crowd had thinned out by that time, and my wife and two friends wasted no time in getting a photo with Nate. The rest of us had a casual interaction, shaking his hand and expressing our appreciation for his style and the fantastic show he put on. He was gracious and friendly.

If you follow Nate, you're probably aware that he hosts a podcast called The Nateland Podcast. It's a delightful blend of casual conversation and comedy, perfect for those in need of some lighthearted humor in their daily lives. You can find the episodes on various platforms, but I usually listen on YouTube.

In each episode of the podcast, Nate sports a different hat. Luckily, I had packed a couple of prototype hats from Texas Creek Hat Company in my bag, hoping to generate some interest. In the moment, I didn't think much about it, but when we returned to our room, my wife convinced me to go back downstairs and give Nate one of our hats. I hesitated at first, but I knew this might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Our exchange was brief, and Nate graciously thanked me for the hat. I wasn't sure if I would ever see the hat make an appearance on one of his episodes, but to my surprise, it eventually did.

In episode #140, Nate proudly wore the retro rope Texas Creek Hat Company script hat throughout the full two-hour session. At the time, we were still in the early stages of website development and had no social media presence, so I didn't have a way to properly showcase this marketing victory or capitalize on any potential Google searches. Nevertheless, it's still pretty cool to look back on. Maybe we'll receive some residuals from the exposure!

If, by chance, Nate happens to read this, we'd like to extend a message to him: Nate, reach out to us, and we'll happily send you some new hats!

PS. The Script collection will be coming soon!
